The Crown is located in the pretty village of Burston – made famous by the school strike of 1914–1939, the longest strike in English history.
The village is about 18 miles south of Norwich, off the A140 and 3 miles northeast of Diss. The nearest rail station is Diss with regular trains running from Norwich to London Liverpool Street.

Directions to the Crown
Take the A140 south towards Ipswich for approximately 15 miles. 2 miles after the Pulham roundabout turn right at the sign post to Burston and Shimpling. After 2 wiggly miles, the Burston Crown can be found on your right at the cross roads in the centre of the village.
Take the A14 west to Bury St Edmunds after approximately 8 miles turn north onto the A140. After about 15 miles and going straight over 3 roundabouts you will see a sign post on your left hand sign for Burston and Shimpling, turn left here. After 2 wiggly miles, the Burston Crown can be found on your right hand side at the cross roads in the centre of the village.
Take the A143 east towards Diss and Great Yarmouth. After approximately 18 miles, drive straight over at first round about and at the 2nd round turn left towards Norwich - joining the A140. Go straight over the next 2 roundabouts and about 400 yards after 2nd roundabout, turn left towards Burston and Shimpling. After 2 wiggly miles, the Burston Crown can be found on your hand side at the cross roads in the centre of the villlage.
